OPENING EARLY 2025

LITTLE ISLAND LIFE. We have drifted to LILLØY. On a remote, windswept island surrounded by emerald fjords, beneath towering cliffs and Norway’s untamed wilderness. Kayaking through calm waters at dawn, watching the sun dance on the horizon, gathering by the fire under a sky full of stars, feasting on freshly harvested seaweed, or unwinding in a sauna session, as is customary for the locals, letting the warmth melt away the day’s chill. Just an hour from vibrant Bergen and a short boat ride from Herdla, time slows at LILLØY LINDENBERG as you reconnect with nature, share stories, and find peace in the stillness.

SOJOURN

LILLØY, meaning “little island,” can host up to ten guests.

Each visit offers a unique experience of the shifting seasons — from the never-ending daylight of the midnight sun in summer to the rugged Arctic scenery in winter. Guests can choose from two different booking options based on their preferences: A private island experience, granting complete seclusion and exclusive access to the entire island, or shared island stays, where they can connect with other nature lovers and become part of an island community.

TASTE

LILLØY LINDENBERG’s plant-based cuisine draws its inspiration from the island’s vegetation, the algae of the surrounding waters, and produce sourced from the wider Herdla region. For guests who relish the idea of self-sufficient solitude, Antje de Vries offers ready-to-cook ingredients. For those who prefer to unwind completely, she or a team of chefs will orchestrate the entire dining experience, crafting a playful culinary journey that embraces both the simplicity and richness of local natural resources.

ROAM

LILLØY is naturally the perfect retreat for those seeking a peaceful spot to finally finish that long-awaited book—whether reading or writing. Yet, the allure of the untamed ocean just steps away is hard to resist. Water enthusiasts can explore a stunning underwater world by swimming, snorkeling, or kayaking along the island’s rocky shores. For the more adventurous, Norway’s western coast offers additional surprises like wind and kite surfing. A true island getaway wouldn’t be complete without fjord boat tours and excursions to Bergen or Herdla.
